Today's temps were hot and steamy! Track conditions were slick and drivers appeared uncomfortable in their suits.

Dave's #34 car is still being worked on from last week's track incident and was unavailable to race today. Mike Southard, from Try It Racing was kind enough to lend Dave one of his cars to drive in tonight's event.

Pay close attention to the photos in this article. Dave will start today's practice with the #5 car. During time trails and race time the car would be re-numbered and now would be the #15. Track rules state that only one car can showcase a like number during the race. Mike Southard's car number is #5, thus the reason; Dave was made the #15.

#5 Mike Southard's car lettered and ready for tonight's race - His second #5 car driven by Dave, which would be turned into the #15 for tonight's race.

Dave's time trial would place him in the 6th position for the start of tonight's event. The field would be inverted, which placed him on the pole. Unfortunately when the green flag dropped the #15 car had a bad start as Dave could not get it to go into fourth gear. He would be passed by a few cars before he could get the car up to speed. He drove for several laps before an altercation entering turn one spun Dave out. He would have too come into the pits for repairs to the front bumper because of tire rub. He would resume the field and finish in the 7th position. Congratulations to Brandon Brown on his victory and a very special congratulation to Mike (the man) Southard on his impressive second place finish.

Our crew along with the Southard crew worked hard trying to get Dave's car comfortable and race ready.
